Hello members of the Halton Hills Community

During this global pandemic, all Canadians have been directed to remain in our homes unless absolutely necessary, such as to purchase groceries or needed supplies.  This presents a challenge for seniors and those with pre-existing medical conditions who are at significantly greater risk of serious illness should they contract the virus.  Those who are already socially isolated and do not have someone close by to shop for them are in a terrible predicament.

We wish to make the community aware that the Rotary Club of Georgetown remains active.  Here is what we are doing in response to COVID-19:
  • We have suspended all public Rotary events in the community for the time being
  • We continue to hold our regular Rotary meetings via virtual online platforms
  • We are in consultation with our local community service agencies to determine how we can best support vulnerable persons in our community.  We will soon release more information about our plans

It is vital that everyone in the community work together to stop the spread of COVID-19, and to keep ourselves, our neighbours, our friends and family safe

What can you do to stay safe and stop the spread of COVID-19?

Social distancing does not mean social isolation:
Consider how you can remain connected to your friends, family and work colleagues via telephone, email, social media, or the following free-to-access online meeting platforms:
